Momentum

So, I was off work today and had a hugely productive day. I think I'm finally realizing the power of momentum. I've always known that when I start working out, and see results... that's what gets me to keep working out. It's all hey, this works and is actually fun when I see something come of it. It turns out this works for other stuff too!
I'm doing national novel writing month this month and I've been pretty much behind all month because I skipped days 2-5 due to being an uninspired slacker. But the last week or so I've been really pushing myself to hit around 2000 words a day, which is wicked. But because I've been doing that I was all, if I can do lets push harder and see what comes of it. Today I've written 4500 words and am hoping to hit 5k before bed. Update: it was getting late, so I finished the 5000 before continuing on this blog. No I hope to reach 5k, I did! And I'll probably write a lot tomorrow as well, not 5000 again because I work tomorrow and that throws everything off but I'll probably do at least 2000 (To complete NanoWriMo you need to write 1667 words per day) and plan enough to maybe have another 5k day on Saturday, how epic would that be? But yeah, I went from being signifigantly behind the daily suggested word count to being a little ahead of it. Which I could take as breathing room to relax, or push harder and see what happens. But yeah, happy dance on a day well spent.

PS- Side note, this momentum thing also seems to be working for nail biting. My nails grew a little bit more than I usually let them so now I want to let them grow more because they finally look like a normal persons nails. That one probably wont last though.

This weekend= win

So, I've been home all weekend (first time since the store I work at opened that I've had off even one weekend day, and I managed to get both of them... yay!) to look after my Mom, who had surgery on Friday. I have been inside my house for like 60 hours straight, with limited company as Mom is mostly asleep so booyyy have I gotten a lot of stuff done of the epic get organized to do list. I was worried I would be bored out of my skull, but it has actually been a pretty solid weekend.
I wont bore you... not that you're anyone since I haven't actually shared the fact that I'm blogging again with anyone... with the silly things I got done. But still, it was good and my mom is feeling okay, so overall... weekend well spent! Hurrah!
I'm still a little behind on NanoWriMo, but not enough that I'm remotely worried about it. I've written at least 1667 a day, plus a little extra, so I am catching up with where I'm supposed to be. This will probably be my most successful noveling month ever. That's another win. Well, it will be at the end of the month and I'm hoping I can carry the good writing habits into next month.
Anyways, I'm going to go have a cookie... I've earned it.

First Post

Alright... I'm writing this just so I can fiddle with my layout. Can't really tell what this thinger is going to look like unless I get some text in here. Anyways, I had been thinking about getting a blog again for awhile but kept putting it off because I wasn't sure I would be doing anything besides whining about life (BLARG!ing) which is no fun.

Buuut lately I've had some other ideas of things worth writing about, or even just having somewhere to be held accountable for projects I start but never finish... which this could turn out to be. So, Blogging & Blarging is born. Let's see what happens.
